All changelogs
v0.1.0

Release v0.1.0

New Features

7
  • Regenerate AI changelog entries with added context when your source info is messy

If the initial changelog input (commits/PRs) isn’t very descriptive, you can now add a short plain‑English summary of what you shipped and have My Project regenerate cleaner, more user-friendly entries—previewing the results before you apply them.

  • Auto-save for changelog drafts and edits

Edits now save automatically a few seconds after you stop typing, with a clear Saving/Saved indicator so you don’t lose work.

  • Choose whether the changelog widget appears on the left or right

You can now set the widget’s screen position to better fit your site layout.

  • Widget can automatically show a “What’s new” popup for new releases

Visitors can now see a Beamer-style popup highlighting your latest release (with a thumbnail), and click through to read the full details.

  • Embed widget now supports cover images and video previews (and works better on mobile)

Your changelog widget and public page can now display a cover image and supported video links, with improved responsiveness on smaller screens.

  • Add cover images to changelog posts

You can now upload a cover image for a changelog to make releases more scannable and visually engaging.

  • Sign in with GitHub

You can now log in using your GitHub account, making it faster to get started and connect repositories.

Improvements

11
  • Improved GitHub connection setup for clearer, more tailored changelogs

When connecting GitHub, you can now provide your project name (and URL) so generated changelogs better reflect your product and read more naturally for your audience.

  • Set audience and tone per project for more accurate AI-written changelogs

Each project can now have its own target audience and writing tone, so changelogs are tailored correctly even if you manage multiple products.

  • Onboarding now captures audience and tone to personalize generated changelogs

During onboarding, you can specify who your changelogs are for and the tone you want—so AI-generated updates match your users and your voice from the start.

  • AI enhancement is now always on for changelog generation

You no longer need to toggle AI on/off—generation is always refined automatically, with clearer date-range selection controls.

  • More accurate AI categorization for changelog entries

Generated entries are now more consistently sorted into the right sections (e.g., features vs fixes) thanks to clearer category guidance.

  • Faster, safer date-range selection when generating changelogs

Choose from smart presets (like “since last changelog” or last 7/14/30 days) or a custom range, with guardrails to prevent overly large pulls that slow things down.

  • Single date-range picker for custom changelog generation windows

Custom date ranges are now easier to set with a unified picker, with a sensible maximum window to keep generation quick and reliable.

  • Redesigned distribution page with a clearer, step-by-step setup

Distribution is now organized into a simple guided flow: add the widget, preview it, and share your public changelog—making it easier to get live quickly.

  • Cleaner, more consistent changelog widget experience

The widget has been simplified into a floating button that opens a sidebar-style drawer, with more unified styling for a more polished feel.

  • Faster, more reliable widget loading (no iframe required)

The embedded changelog widget now renders more smoothly and avoids common iframe blocking issues, helping it load more consistently on customer sites.

  • Guided “What’s next” steps after your first publish

After publishing your first changelog, you’ll now see clear next steps—like adding the widget and sharing your public changelog link—to help you roll it out quickly.

🐛

Bug Fixes

3
  • Fixed the empty state on the Changelogs page

When you don’t have any changelogs yet, the page again shows a helpful starter view with an example preview instead of appearing broken or blank.

  • Smoother editing when creating or modifying changelog items

Creating a custom item now reliably jumps into edit mode, and editing items no longer breaks due to inconsistent identifiers. Category selection is also easier to use.

  • Fixed cases where the embed widget couldn’t load due to iframe blocking

Resolved an issue where some sites/browsers prevented the widget from displaying when embedded via iframe.
