Productboard Pricing vs Canny Pricing (October 2026)

This page is only about price: what each plan costs, what makes the bill go up, and what you can find out before you talk to sales. If you want to know which tool fits your team, read Productboard vs Canny instead.

All numbers were read from productboard.com/pricing and canny.io/pricing in October 2026. Both companies have changed their plans more than once, so check their pages before you buy.

#Productboard pricing

Productboard shows two plans and no prices.

Business. You request a demo to get a quote. The plan includes:

  • A minimum of 5 makers. Makers are the product managers and leads who create roadmaps and prioritize. Price is based on the number of makers.
  • 25 contributors. Contributors submit feedback, tag insights and comment. They do not count toward the maker limit.
  • 500 AI credits per maker each month for Spark, Productboard's AI.
  • Unlimited roadmaps, unlimited feedback notes and 2 Product Portals.

Enterprise. You contact sales. It adds unlimited contributors, SAML SSO, SCIM provisioning, custom roles, a Salesforce integration and live onboarding. AI credits are 1,500 base plus 800 per additional maker each month.

AI credit top-ups. When credits run out, you keep your workspace but Spark stops until the monthly reset. Top-ups cost $5 for 50 credits on monthly plans, or $60 a year for 600 credits on annual plans. Productboard's own examples: analyzing 100 feedback items uses about 30 to 50 credits, and writing a full spec can use 50 to 200.

#What drives a Productboard bill

  1. The number of makers. This is the main lever, and there is a floor of 5.
  2. AI use. Heavy Spark users may need top-ups on top of the plan.
  3. Plan level. SSO, SCIM and Salesforce are on Enterprise.

Because there is no public price per maker, you cannot work out the total before a call. What you can do is count your makers, since that number decides the quote.

#Canny pricing

Canny shows three plans, and the first two have prices.

Free: $0. 25 tracked users, 5 managers, unlimited feedback and boards, and Autopilot, Canny's AI that captures and merges feedback.

Pro: from $79 a month, billed yearly. 100 or more tracked users, 10 managers, project-management integrations (Jira, Linear, ClickUp, Asana, GitHub, Azure DevOps) and more privacy controls. Paying yearly saves up to 20%.

Business: custom price. 5,000 or more tracked users, SSO, and CRM integrations with HubSpot and Salesforce.

#What drives a Canny bill

  1. Tracked users. A tracked user is anyone who gives feedback: posting, voting or commenting. That includes feedback an admin logs for them and feedback Canny's Autopilot finds in chats, calls or reviews. Canny says that for a B2B SaaS company about 1 to 5% of total users become tracked users.
  2. Automatic upgrades. If you pass your tracked-user limit and have not set a spend limit, Canny moves you to the next tier and charges the prorated difference.
  3. The spend limit. You can set a monthly cap. Once you hit it, Canny stops tracking feedback from new users instead of upgrading you.

The Autopilot point is easy to miss. If Autopilot pulls feedback from your support chats, those customers count as tracked users too.

#Example: what can you budget before a call?

Take a SaaS company with 2,000 customers and 2 product managers.

  • Canny: at Canny's 1 to 5% rule of thumb, 20 to 100 tracked users. That fits the Free plan at the low end and Pro (from $79 a month billed yearly) at the high end. You can budget this today.
  • Productboard: Business needs at least 5 makers, so you would pay for 5 even with 2 product managers. The price per maker is not public, so you need a demo for the number.

#If you only need a feedback board and a changelog

Both tools do far more than vote counting. If you are a small software team, you may need less: a public board where customers post and vote, and a way to tell them when it ships.

ShipTell covers that with prices on the page: Starter at $29 a month and Pro at $49 a month for up to 5 team members, with a 7-day free trial. It also includes a support inbox and writes your changelog from GitHub pull requests, then emails everyone who voted for a request when it ships. It does not have prioritization frameworks, CRM data or SSO, so it is not a replacement for Productboard at a larger company.
